Hi, This question probably has been answered many times already but here it is. I have a AC 'C' and the six volt battery was weeping from the filler caps. Enough weepage to create a puddle of electrolyte on the belly mower below it. Needless to say I washed off the tractor, battery, deck along with the paint loosened by the acid. What I'd like to know is why the battery was weeping so badly since the tractor was parked for a couple weeks. Even after I removed the battery and set it on the dirt outside my shop it still weeps. Looking into the cells I can see occasional bubbles. When checking the cells with a battery tester they were very close in charge by were not fully charged(FAIR). The battery is an Interstate Workhorse about 4 yrs. old. I don't know if it's salvagable or not. So those of you who have some answers I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks, Jack
