my next project. Its complete, and its not stuck. Unlike the last C, this one doesnt have any camero parts or welds in odd places so i have a good feeling about it.
The rear tires are fine, and the front ones are shot. All the rims are in real good shape, but the wireing is no good. Its a huge mess with lots of bare wire and cracked insulation and the works.
Ive never re-wired a tractor before, but im willing to give it a try. This tractor has a delco distributor thats damaged, i dont know a thing about them. I think i'll rig up R aikin's mag and see if i can get it running this weekend. Anyone out there who works on distributors??
The sheet metal on this is OK, grill has lots of little dents in it, one side of the hood is caved on about an inch, battery box is corroded and rusted out in sevral places. The manifold is also paper thin and welded several times.
How easy is it to clean out an allis C sized gas tank?? The B's tank is being done in the next town over, and for $100 from the radiator shop id rather do it myself. Can you use some sort of acid or something or do you have to use the nuts and bolts method??
The tractor itself is an early model or atleast it has the sttering off one. It steers really smooth, unlike the B. Its got foot brakes and hydrolics.

But, on the other hand, there is a secret language that our mechanical companions readily do speak. It is an interesting form of communication that involves all the senses of the listener. In this series we are going to investigate and learn the basic rudimentary skills of understanding this lingo.
