Have seen people use Bon Ami with success in the past. It's like "Comet" cleaner; has the little duck on the can. Used for cleaning sinks and stuff. It's supposed to be a finer compound than Comet.

Friends had weak rings. They removed the spark plugs, took about 1/2 teaspoon of this stuff, and blew it into the cylinders with a turkey baster. Pu the plugs back in, and fired it up. After it ran for a bit, the remeasured the compression, and found it came up a fair bit.

The stuff is made for scouring; basically they scoured thier cylinders like you would a water stain in a sink or shower.

Heard of other poeple doing this; apparently it's a been done by a lot of people over the years.
