Dad has an older Bearcat unit. Does a fine job. His 750 gets a work out on bigger stuff. He switched over to the JD 530 for the bigger stuff.
I'd suggest you get new knifes or resharpen yours with a curve on the cutting edge. Also check the gap of the rotor to the fixed knife. This will get it back self feeding again. You can download and print an owners manual off their website.
