I'm mostly a lurker, mainly because I'm not really an expert on corn, animals, etc. Rotary mowers I have spent some time with. I was raised on a Christmas tree farm, and spent as long as I can remember on "brushog," usually hitting stumps from the last crop. Now that I'm the owner, and spending my own money, I won't buy anything other than a Woods. Our last one was bought used (5 to 10 years) and we ran it 21 more years with effectively 150 acres of rough mowing per year. Change gearbox lube every coupla years and weld cracks when notices. Our current one is a Woods medium duty, which looks better built than the last one, which was built like a current light duty.
If only the Land pride or JD, I'd go Land Pride first.
