We had heavy thunderstorms this last w/e. Started in Dallas early Sat and tracked almost due east. They hit the farm Sat. afternoon around 4:30 and we had at least 4 waves of severe weather during the night including a tornado warning at 9:00. No damage, but lots of hard rain, thunder and lightening. Rain didn't quit until mid-morning on Sun.
So much for the grass seed we planted Apr. 25 at the hayfield.
Had water standing everywhere. Came down so hard and fast, it overflowed the gutters. Had water running through the tractor shed and the area where we park the tractors. Eventually, we'll do some dirt work and fix that problem. Weather report said we got between 1.31 and 1.5 inches. I think it was more than that.
Got hit with another thunderstorm in Dallas last eve. More hard rain and some hail. Pasture is a squishy mess.
Watched the weather this am, and the same storm that hit us in Dallas, went right across the farm, so probably got more rain there.
More thunderstorms predicted for tonight.
Rain, rain go away, come again another day (Like mid-July)

But, on the other hand, there is a secret language that our mechanical companions readily do speak. It is an interesting form of communication that involves all the senses of the listener. In this series we are going to investigate and learn the basic rudimentary skills of understanding this lingo.
