Got all of our corn ground in for now, only 16 acres. We ussually plow under 1 or 2 poor hay feilds after 1st crop, but the last 2 winters we've had enough snow to protect the alfalfa from much winter kill.
We could really use another 10-15 acres of corn ground, but we're not sure which feilds if any we would plow under because right now the 1st crop is coming along quite nicely. One or 2 feilds have a poor area in them, but most is looking pretty good yet.
I guess we'll see in about 2 weeks when we cut it down and stuff it in a bag. For now we'll work on getting our Gehl 920 wagon back together, and then I'll pull out the 3000 and sharpen the knives and look it over, and then the haybine. The motor for the spout on the chopper doesn't work. Not sure if it's the wireing or the motor yet, I'll have to try hot wireing the motor.
The Gehl 970 should only need grease, but unfortunatly our Meyers wagon is sidelined still with a busted gear box. Still not sure if we're gonna fix it or find other purposes for it. Probably gonna borrow the neighbors Miller wagons again like we do almost every year so we have a couple more to fill. Then we'll rent the 986 that's down the road and put it on the rented bagger.
