There was a long thread over on Rummy's board about this type of deal concerning some wheels a while back. Like you, the guy did some repairs and wanted the seller to knock off the price. I bought a pto gear several years ago over the phone. It was used. When it arrived, I couldn't believe it. The part was like brand new and had the big bearing still on it, which I didn't expect. It saved me some work pressing my bearing off then back on. And the price was 1/4 of a new gear alone. I guess I got lucky. I've been less than satisfied with the quality of some new stuff I have ordered. The problem with mail order is a lot of companies require you to pay postage to send it back. I ordered a belt for a washer the other day (less than a pound). The shipping charge was over $7.00
