Old is right. Just because the car was in a crash and repaired does not make it the body shop's responsibility. I recently dealt with a Cobalt that was wrecked and repaired in our body shop. The concern was the Traction control system warning light was on. Turns out the traction control was disabled due to the PCM detecting the engine misfiring. The cause of the misfire was a burned valve on cyl #1 causing low compression. That part of the repair was a customer pay concern, not an insurance covered repair. First check the brake lights. There is a lot of Ford in that vehicle. It used to be that a burned out brake light bulb would disable the cruise. If the lights all work, then take it back and tell them what's going on. If they do mechanical work, they will diagnose the problem and find out from there if it is crash related or not. To automatically assume it is crash related is not fair to the shop despite how well they may have been paid.
