You asked the questions, and I'll answer as best as I can.
First, the average arab (or other foreigner) doesn't hate the US or americans. But they are definitely annoyed by the things we do. Much of this is due to deliberate misinformation by the arab governments and their state-controlled press, who use the west as a scapegoat to deflect attention away from their own problems. Of course we play right into their hands by routinely dropping bombs on civilians and performing other heavy-handed tactics that the arab press immediately jumps on. You can say this isn't right or fair, but that's what the typical arab sees: the US bullying their fellow muslims.
As for our support of Israel, you have to realize that there's two versions of history: How Israel and the west see it, and how the arabs see it. Let's take for example the 1973 war between Egypt and Israel: Who won the war? You, and most Israelis and westerners will say that Israel won. But for Egyptians, it was a victory for Egypt. You can say that's ridiculous, but look who has the Sinai now? It ain't Israel, and you can bet they would not have given it up had the '73 war not occurred.
Two points of view. For every american that thinks the arabs hate the US for no good reason, there's an arab who can't understand why the US hates arabs.

But, on the other hand, there is a secret language that our mechanical companions readily do speak. It is an interesting form of communication that involves all the senses of the listener. In this series we are going to investigate and learn the basic rudimentary skills of understanding this lingo.
