If I had my Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations book with me I'd cite you chapter and verse.I beleive it is in the area dealing with car haulers. You guys know as well as I do that DOT officers all around the country will look far and hard to find something to cite you for. Bad enough they can cite you for most of the picky stuff. Not to mention not using transport grade chain also( Grade 70). And to the man who suggests five chains...Go for it! Sounds great! If we keep going down the road with stuff barely fastened on DOT WILL Crack down and give us some even more stringent standards. Did you see the 60 minutes show on improperly secured loads? how many more of those shows before DOT makes us carry everything inside steel boxes with welded doors? If you have any further comment please E mail. I think you know my opinion.
