I Completely understand the benefits of four chains. I think four is a good idea and definitely safer than two chains. But that did not answer my question. You stated that four chains are a "DOT reg". If that is true, where it can be found written as you stated. If it is your opinion that four chains should be used I think that is great but if you know something about "DOT regs" I don't. I would like you to enlighten me. Some us like to know the difference between fact and opinion. Especially when we make a living doing this.

After two summers of having to park my old 1964 model 4000 gas 4 cyl. on a hill just in case the 6 volt system, for whatever reason, would not crank her, I decided to try the 12 volt conversion.
