Mathias NY said: (quoted from post at 09:59:44 08/31/09) Try searching a little in the archives of the Ford forum. The link below is to a tread I started a while ago for the Hydraulics on my 3000. My issue still isn't resolved, but I have narrowed it down to the position/draft control adjustments.

To get at both hydraulic filters, drain the fluid, remove the seat, remove the transmission top cover, and remove the PTO shaft. I also removed the left floor board, but I can't remember if that was necisary. I also think there was an access cover on the left side that needed to be removed.

The attached picture is of my tractor after I changed both filters. The rear of the tractor is toward the right, the upper arrow is for the outlet filter, and the lower arrow is for the intake filter.

Unless you are from another planet, physically or otherwise, I don’t think our internal combustion buddies will talk and tell us their problems. But, on the other hand, there is a secret language that our mechanical companions readily do speak. It is an interesting form of communication that involves all the senses of the listener. In this series we are going to investigate and learn the basic rudimentary skills of understanding this lingo. ... [Read Article]
