Brian, I have to agree with you. My wifes explorer came with the firestones. They had 65,000 miles on them and no sign of separating, but they were dipping out on the edges. They were rotated every 5,000 miles. We took them off and replaced with michelon(sp?). They still have a good bit of tread, so I kept them for a trailer or implement. I was not expecting such good service life out of them, but they held up really well in alot of 90's degree weather.

Earthmaster Project Progress Just a little update on my Earthmaster......it's back from the dead! I pulled the head, and soaked the stuck valves with mystery oil overnight, re-installed the head, and bingo, the compression returned. But alas, my carb foiled me again, it would fire a second then flood out.
