So here it is. I always wanted to be a police officer. Never really thought about it until now. Seeing as how there is not much of a future in construction currently, I am thinking that a career in law enforcement might not be too bad. I am 27 and after a 20 year career I could retire with benefits before I am 50. After that I could conceivably get back into construction or more specifically custom home building where 95% of my experience lies. Likely- who knows? 20 years is a long time. I would have no problem with physical requirements. I am about as clean as one could be- no records at all. I have some questions though. County Sheriffs are hiring right now.
1: Am I too old? 2: I do not have 20/20 vision-I wear glasses/contacts. Is that an issue? 3. How bad is the job stress? 4. Is it worth it? I realize that the basic term of an officer is to be the bad guy in most eyes. 5. Is there anything you would have done from the start of your career that is different? 6. Can you live in your Jurisdiction, or are there too many problems? 7. What is the average schedule? I know the prof firemen around here are on a 24 on 48 off. Would it be something similar? 8. Anything else I should consider?
Any thoughts or opinions would be greatly appreciated.

It would be a great day for the collies and the terrier dogs, rats and mice would be at the bottom of the stacks so the dogs, would have a busy time hunting and killing, all the corn was gathered and ricked in what we c
