Ive been really busy up here... But im doing well in school and even meeting some people before i move in two months... haha...
Anyway, the good news is that im probabally going to the farm next weekend...
That would be awesome :-)
I havent turned a wrench in three months :-)
I really want my purple truck and the "B" to run while im there...
I really want to get the stupid thing fixed... Its always on my mind, and its all painted up, just waiting there, teasing me... Uhh....
The problem is, it doesnt hold oil...
Ive tried a new gasket, a new gasket with silicone, and just plain silicone.
No, its not bent.
Its just a pain.
I hear theres like an art to getting them in place so they dont leak?? Any advice here??
And theres the miserable gas tank. Still.
The moron who i hired to clean it out and seal decided that just sealing it was eaier, and all this stuff is coming off now...
Great.. Gas runs red and doesnt burn and cloggs things up.
I know it sounds strange... But does anyone think pouring more in would help it?? Im no expert... But im just wondering...
And last but not least... The purple truck...
After I got my allis gas tank back, i filled it up... It turned red and gummed up the brand new carb I had on that thracotr...
I was THRILLED...
Anyway, being 16 and broke, i couldnt just waste all that gas... It still seemed flammable... And i (for some reason) thought the fuel-injected ranger could burn it better then the allis could, so i thinned it with regular gas, ran it through a coffee filter and into the tank.
Ahhh, the life of a redneck...
So now i have to fix that too. I replaced the fuel filter on it, and that seemed to (thankfully) catch everything. The old one was the orignal, and im amazed it lasted 15 years.
But were not getting any fuel to the engine. You can spray ether in there and it fires up and runs for a few seconds, but thats is... I think i clogged up the fuel pump, or worse, clogged up the screen and run it dry. So i guess that means that i have to take the bed off??
someone said something about checking the relays... Whats a relay... And how do i check it??
I know these are kinda dumb questions... But I need all the help I can get...
