BUMMER, never saw so many sick Marines as when we took them out on the Fort Marion LSD-22 (1959-1962). Took weeks to get the smell of Vomit off the ship after they left. Giggle Got a great story about making a landing with a new Lieutenant, green as ever giving orders to everyone even the boat crew. made me mad when he started telling me what my job was, so I stop the boat out a ways from shore dropped the bow door and when he jumped out he went in over his head. Had a nice swim to shore. Bet he never gave orders to the boat crew after that. Walt PS Happy Birthday
