The Machine Shed is one of our favorite places to eat, don't miss it. If you want a good local pizza, try Harris Pizza. Deere has a lot of stuff to see there. Rock Island Arsenal has a museum that is good. If you get here and have some time to kill, Saturday is a work day at the new Antique Engine and Tractor showgrounds on Hwy 92 east of Joslin, Ill. Come out and see our new building. Check it out at ae-ta.com I-80 truck stop just west of Davenport has a trucking museum if you are interested it old trucks. Today's Featured Article - Restoration Story: Fordson Major - by Anthony West. George bought his Fordson Major from a an implement sale about 18 years ago for £200.00 (UK). There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard. From the engine number, it was found that this Major was produced late 1946. It was almost complete but had various parts that would definitely need replacing.
