The pto drive is the most efecient so would be easier on the tractor. Our 50 hp tractor runs a very large generator with no trouble for our farm. Hydrolics arn't very efficent, the heat generated in the lines is the best indication and a hose failure is a mess. Electrical is nice but still pricey . How bout pto for the blade and electrical for the feed? The drive would be a variant on the pto setup used to drive a conditioner behind a sikle mower.
