I've got a BIG, HUGE problem in that area and it's really beginning to rear its ugly head since I’ve lately started going to these jam sessions around the area. Been using a Pro 185 and it really sux. :>(
I just plain don't like amps; just cannot get the "tone" I want.
I normally use a Studio Tube processor and split it out thru two PA systems into stereo where it’s mixed out wet and dry. Down side is, that's all well and good, but it sure as heck spoils ya for anything else and I can’t lug that big system around.
I think I need a good Twin Reverb and maybe some stomp boxes? :>(
