The grade I'll be mowing varies but I'd say an average of 20-30 degrees. We're only mowing the area directly behind our house and around a 3 acres pond. I flyfish so it needs mowed or I spend the entire day tangled in the weeds. I do leave much of the bank go wild, especially at the drainage inlets and outlets. I appreciate the advice to let it go wild (another 50 acres of the property is completely untouched and I'll keep adding to that amount) and to mow directly uphill/downhill (but that isn't practical for the banks of the drainage ditches going to the pond). What do people use to mow ditches in front of their homes? Many of these are a grade similar to my yard. I really need something with a wider than normal wheel base and a low seating profile.
