Hey folks, getting ready to buy a gas hedge trimmer. Had a cheap <100 buck weedeater brand for about 10 years that done OK/good but was a little light. Hedge is old and tuff. Leaning towards the Stihl HS45 but was wondering if anyone has had better luck with other brands. Liked the looks of an echo I saw at HD when I was home last May, but they weren't much different in price than the Stihl. Have a Stihl dealer 5 miles away, but I'd be buying from the States. Would use the local dealer for problems/service, but if (for example) Echo is better, they could work on it also.
The hedge is only about 60 ft long. Also thinking of talking the county guys that take care of cemeteries and a couple public places take it off about half it's heighth and then just get a lighter cordless model to keep it under control.
