Low Sulphur Diesel

In the UK we're now getting "low sulphur" or similar diesel fuel. What are the implications for an older machine? I seem to remember something about distributer injector pumps being vulnerable. A UK magazine suggests a pint of engine oil added to each tank of diesel. Any other ideas? Would 2-stroke oil be better? Thanks in advance, AES
