I agree. There are some things in there that I use. I have started to direct market a few steers through a local slaughter house. I sell a whole or half steer on his scales in the unloading chute and the new owner walks in the front door and tells them how they want it cut up pretty much. They do have some good info about how to deal with direct marketed meat as well as some good pasture info. I take the rants just like the ones on here and go on. I use some of there least cost ideas here and there, but at the end of the day I still spend a whole $30/year to spray thisles with roundup.
It will be a while before I jump totally on board. From where I live I would have to drive a min. of 2.5 hours to sell grass fed beef or any thing else for that matter. We are little behind on the trends, if it ain't had a good bit of corn run through it, it ain't fit to eat. Or so some one's granddaddy told them.
