Mark, If it ever takes some time to restart verify by quickly pulling off a spark plug wire and checking for spark. If you have spark, then try this: Remove the fuel line at the carburetor and check for good flow. You should get between a pint to a quart per minute. If you have good flow there, then remove the fuel bowl and check again allowing the fuel to pass through the float's shut off valve. If the flow is just a dribble, then remove the elbow fitting where the gas line goes into the carburetor. There's a fine mesh screen inside the elbow fitting that very few folks know about. Blow it out with compressed air and check for good flow again. If not good flow, remove the float valve and blow through the elbow fitting to blow out the passages. Chances are that the screen is clogged. Your description is a symtomatic of this problem. Ken McWilliams Dayton, OH
