Two things come to mind. First, next time it happens, immediately remove the gas cap. If that fixes it, you have a clogged gas tank vent/vented cap. If not, replace the ignition coil. Coils sometimes overheat and get an electical "open". As soon as they cool, they work again. I've been down this road, the first time it was the gas cap, the next the coil.
