Jim, grey market tractors are not ment to be sold in this market (US) The manufactors did not intend for them to be shipped here for one reason or another, they may sell tractors to a US company to sell under their name and have non-competition contract or they may not have the resorces to provide for a dealer/service program in this market. There are many reasons. But there are always people that want to buck the system to try to make a dollar so they import these tractors and sell them to anyone that has the cash and you are on your own when you need parts or service. Oh you will hear some of them say that they can supply all your parts for you, but try to get that in writting with a guarantee that it will not take a year or so to get a part shipped from who knows where and that shipping will not cost a fortune. Watch those cute little loaders, most do not exert any down force (other than gravity). Other than that they are great. Good Luck. Now stand by for all the grey dealers to call me everything but the Pope. Les
