I just started plowing the earliest I've done in 30 years. Otsego County, NY. Weather is getting pretty wierd. Had an early dry Spring last year and then, just-about NO summer. Still got a few patches of snow here and there. But, very warm dry, and even the "peepers" and "barking frogs" are out. Spring peepers have always been here early Spring. But the "barking frogs" are something new to my property. Used to have them in Northern Vermont, but not here. Note - I don't really know what type of frog they are. They come to my pond, "double up", lay eggs, and leave in few days - and "barking" the whole time.
Took out one of my IH B275s hooked to Deere plows, and a Ferguson TO35 Deluxe to brush-hog the corn stubble first. I left 2 acres of corn standing for the deer this winter.
Down by the pond and woods, where a few old Case DC tractors are sinking into the ground, along with a 1928 Ford AA tow-truck.
