Bought a new set of Canadian Tire brand best touring tires for our car a few days before we went to visit the folks in AZ. They started to shake a bit so I had them rebalanced in Great Falls. Didn't help. By the time we got to Phoenix we were down to 80kmh so I had them checked at a tire shop. Two of the tires had gone bad and needed to be replaced. I called back to the Canadian Tire store and inquired as to what arrangements Canadian Tire had made with a tire outfit in the USA to take care of any warranty issues. None. They told me I would have to bring the tires back. I bought a complete set of Michelens and left the crappy tires behind.
At that time, I was in charge of a fleet of 20 vehicles and had been getting Canadian Tire to do the service work as well as supply tires when needed. When I got back home I spoke the service manager in person and informed him that all vehicles I was responsible for would no longer be serviced at Canadian Tire nor would they be selling anymore tires to us.
Small wonder why the term "Crappy Tire" is used when referring to that company.
