Some places are like that. Years ago my wife stopped at Walmart to have a low tire repaired. It wasn't a really fast leak, but fast enough she needed to have it repaired before coming home. We had bought the tire from them (that was our first mistake). There was a lump in the sidewall of the tire and they said that they couldn't repair a tire with such an obvious defect. They wouldn't even put air in it. She called me asking if she should get the tire replaced?!?!?! After I came down off the ceiling, I said,"No, why would we want to do that?" She told me what they said, and up to the ceiling I went again! Long story short, she got a can of fix-a-flat and made it home just fine. Next day we took it to our local tire guy and had it patched. We drove on that tire for six more months before it got bad enough to replace (property taxes are low around here, and the roads look like it!). Never have gone into the tire department of a Walmart since, except to use the bathroom.
