Any thing that will fluff the hay up and spread it will help it dry. If you where in grass hay then it would work fine. On Alfalfa I would think that you would loose a lot of leaves. Glad to hear you where able to save it. Many around me aren't so lucky. Too wet for too long and it is black. Hope their stand in not smothered out under the windrow.
