Am I getting ready for a new clutch. My 1999 Ford F350 4x4 6spd with 251K miles on it is getting hard to put in gear at times.Any clutch that was bad or week I have owned in the past would let out High when nearing it's life . This one is the other way.It has always let out off of the floor real short. Lately it is really short coming off of the floor. Almost as if I cut the floor mat out it would help. I have only added fluid once in it life time about 5 years ago.The pedal feels the same as always and not sponge. So I do not think it is air.I hauled two tractors with it a couple a weeks ago and found know slipping at all.It seems the farther you go and the more gear changes as things warm up it goes in to gear harder.I think it is cable operated to the slave cylinder thus no visible adjustment to it but I might be wrong. At times I am a little slow and things right under my nose I can not see.So is my clutch giving me the pre warning for an R&R or the pressure plate getting week or something stupid right under my nose. Thanks for any help.
