Did you set the password for the new e-mail account? Each e-mail account can have its own password, and if you didn't specifically set one you can't get into the account. Automatically transferring a password from one account to another is a big time security risk.
What on earth is Seamonkey? You can't expect the ISP to be up to speed on all the intricacies of every oddball program out there...they' spend a fortune supporting a very few customers. If you want free support, stick with the common browsers & e-mail clients. Makes perfect sense to me that an ISP would charge for support for a program that's rarely used, particularly one that may have some oddball characteristics.
