RusselAZ - Very cool. I really like this one, it's got a few discs with some chips out of 'em from many, many years of use, but it still gets the job done for as little use as it gets these days. If ever you want to use it in the field, you have to set it at a pretty good cutting depth and hit everything twice (once in each direction), but I have used it after the field has been plowed (with the same WD, actually), and it does a nice job leveling it all out. Does about as good as our 6' hydraulic one does in that regard.
old - I don't know, after high school I grew it out for college, and have just left it long ever since. Saves an awful lot of money in the haircut department, considering I get about a foot of it cut off for donating every other year. I'm only in my mid-20s.
Brian G. NY - Heheh, thank you. I have no trouble pressing down the pedals, that's for sure. I'm about 6'02" and 225. It's a 52/53 WD with a straight shifter dropped in it to replace the old style crooked one that was in it originally that ummm... Broke off in reverse one day. That, and the top six inches or so of the muffler have been chopped off because the weld seam was starting to split apart towards the top, but the muffler itself was in good shape.
nickg - Oh yes, we've been getting plenty of rain lately, but it looks like we may be in for a bit of a dry spell. It has been really wet and really hot this year, so the corn crop looks like it'll be a good one. I've seen some people who cannot extend their legs far enough to clutch a WD just because they can't slide themselves far enough forward in the seat (due to the steering wheel) to get it depressed.
