You got to see it from the companie's perspective. Companies like Case, Deere, and Agco need delerships that are committed to selling their brand. Many dealers don't just carry one brand anymore they carry many brands that the big three have to compete with on price in the same store. These foriegn companies and shortlines erode pricing which a lot of times makes certain machines unprofitable to build anymore. When a dealer is in an area that caters more to rural lifestylers instead of professional farmers the rural lifestylers will go with the cheaper often but not always inferior equipment. A dealer who has these along side a name brand will often use the name brand as a price point to sell the easy stuff. What the big three want is a dealer who will promote their own product. If a dealer isn't willing to go out and work for sales then a manufacturer is going to need to take away the contract of that underperforming dealer so that they can give it to a dealer who proves year after year that they can deliver results. You'd do the same if you were in their shoes.
