When you have the experiance and the education to be a CEO that people want to hire then you can hold out for that. When you have the skills and education of the average street bum holding out for a top paying job with benefits may not be in your best interests. But don't worry, the government will provide.
We have two foster kids, after they had stayed with us a couple days the older one told me I should get up earlier. Since I leave the house at 6:30 every morning before she is even out of bed I asked why she thought that. She explained how I was sleeping most of the day - eventually I figured out she thought I was in bed all day long and getting up at 6:00 in the evening when I arrived home from work. At 5 years old she had no concept of a person working all day, but knew all about a person sleeping all day. Don't worry, even though their kids were in foster care the parents were still collecting their welfare check and collecting WIC.
