Thanks guys! Had a great birthday. Working with friends doing what I love and I got to meet Kruser. Nice weather and harvest is just humming along for us so what could be better? Gary the test weight on this corn is 58lbs at just under 21 percent moisture. It is Dekalb 55-09. We picked Pioneer 35K04 yesterday and it was right at 60lbs at 21 percent moisture. These fields were planted April 13 and April 15. Looks like test weights will be better than last year as we had a couple hybrids that were barely making 55 but there were people that had corn right at 50 and they got a pretty big dock for that. So far picking just these early varieties it would seem there will be some very good corn yields. When we get to the corn on corn fields it looks like its going to be a totally different story. I dont think the term dissapointing will cover what we are going to find in some of those fields. bill
