The folks before me paved a way, left my generation quite a healthy foundation. We haven't done and aren't doing the same for the up and coming generations. I'm not going to get into politics here, but if I were a youngster looking at what I've been left to look at and what's been and being proposed, I'd be mighty angry. Mighty angry.
From my perspective, there is hardly a nation in this world, except our neighbors to the north that have the natural resources that we have, and that includes people, and there's just no reason for this. Our nation has succeeded and thrived for over 200 years, and there's just no viable reason for the kind of failure that we're experiencing, with plans for more of the same.
I'm not going to mention any names, but about a month or so ago, there was a person and his top financial advisor that actually came out and told America that we will never be the world leader ever again, and never to expect to be the world leader again. When I heard the audio of those two fellas saying that being played on the news the day that they said it...I was shocked. That's not the kind of leadership that I expect, not from anyone, let alone those two guys.
I feel sorry for the up and coming generations, we've let them down. We've failed them in ways that our parents and forefathers never imagined or envisioned, and are promising more of the same.
