Yeah, the uses were pretty limited. Dad talked about Grandpa's encounter with the Ford dealer on a 2N and Grandpa could not see where he was going to get a lot of use out of it. Guys who had bought them were having trouble dragging the corn picker or manure spreader if it was wet. Pretty much left it for cutting hay and running a stationary mill. He and most others around could not afford a tractor just to do minimal tasks. Mostly bought by guys (around here) that had a few acres to garden and some mowing.

Today's Featured Article - Restoration Story: Fordson Major - by Anthony West. George bought his Fordson Major from a an implement sale about 18 years ago for £200.00 (UK). There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard.
