Trying to hook up older 6 volt generator. There is NO marking as to field and armarture post. As far as I can deduce the smaller diamater post out of the generator is the field. The larger one being the armature. Is this correct????? I do belive the voltage regulator is 6 volt, how can I be sure???? The tractor (cockshutt 30) is postive ground 6 volt. AS I understand the generator can be polizerized either postive ground or neg ground, is this correct??? What about the regulator being polizered postive ground??? Exactly how doe I polizer both generator and regulator??? JOHN T you escaped to the sunny south before I was able to cominder your services to guide my efforts on my Honda ES 4500. as to battery discharge.
