If you don't have extreme weather, off-road, or extreme-load conditions, I'd buy by price.
I can't say I've had problems with any tires except for Goodyear Wrangers getting dry rot when only 6-7 years old.
I pretty much use Cooper on all my heavy 4WD vehicles and trucks. Much of my driving is on bad roads full of sharp rocks and shale, or ice and snow. Never had any problems and . . . Cooper sometimes has tire choices I can't find anywhere else. Recently I needed some extra-load 235/75-15" tires (109S rating, 2271 lbs per tire). Nobody in my area could get them except the Cooper dealer.
Needed tires (quick) for our AWD Dodge GrandCaravan last spring. We were just leaving for a 2000 mile trip and I spotted some dry-rot on the tires. Called around and not a single tire shop had tires in stock to fit our AWD van. But, Walmart did! So, went there and got a set of Goodyear Viva 2, 215/65-R16". I love them. Handles great and we got an increase on highway trips of almost 2 MPG which is pretty amazing for just a tire change. Found out later the are considered a "low rolling resistance" tire, but I only bought them since Walmart was the only place that had our size. Highway mileage went from 22 to 24 MPG. Not bad for a heavily loaded AWD van with a 3.8 engine.
