To be technical, NY is a not "Right to Work" state. NY is an "Employ at Will" state. That means anybody can quit without giving notice or a reason. And anybody can be fired without giving notice or a reason. Exceptions are contract-workers. Now, if a boss fires somebody and DOES give a reason, it better be a good one. That's where the trouble comes in. Safesty way to fire someone is give no reason at all.
I used to think Michigan was a conservative state. I guess I got that idea from marrying a Michigan girl. She and her parents are very sensible and very conservative.
Ends up I was wrong. We own several properties in nortern MI, but have been too "chicken" to move there yet. I'm waiting to see what happens. Michigan had a lot of income for many years and now does not. Will government cut expenses to tax to death the few people left with money?
