Hey folks,
I'm at work and not able to check so just trying for a second opinion on something I think makes sense.
Remembering the issues with my little tractor the past few weeks....
slobbering out the breather tube, losing coolant, etc. 3 cyl diesel german farmall.
changed the oil (no coolant in the crankcase) and coolant a week or so ago and has been fine (couple drops out the breather tube but not the globs like before.
FF to today, little more messy out the breather tube, coolant is missing some. Oil level is a quart or two over full.
Also, starter gave it up today and when I took it out there was plenty of oil everywhere around the nose (rear main seal leak).
Because the oil was overfull again, I took the drain plug out a little to see if there was water . None. On the way to work, stopped by the kid in town that replaced the headgasket and done some engine work. Told him everything and he handed me a hydraulic pump and said to swap it. because I would be low on hydraulic oil. Makes sense because my 3PH has been sagging under load unless running about 1/2 throttle.
Assuming this is the problem, could this be the reason for the rear main leaking and the druelling out the breather tube? Garage done the timing belt on my kia once and overfilled the oil, all seals leaked until I figured it out and drained some out. Same principal on the tractor?

Some have been very good, some have been well, disappointing to say the least. But no matter how good or bad auctions may be, we always seem to stay until the item we've come for or are interested in is on the block. I've been to some auctions near and far. I think the furthest has been the Two Cylinder 7 in the Amana Colonies last year. Lots of stuff, lots of people. I've also atten
