Jdseller , because of your actions , From this day forward I will Always holda deep reverence for you,....you are a Great American..THANK YOU .. you may Already Know My Dad served in the Pacific during WW2.. .. please allow me to tell you about my GodFather 2nd cousin , He lied about his age to get in Army Air Corp during WW2 ,, he was a tall skinny 6ft 3 ,, He shipped out to England as a mechanic for B-17s . when his true age was discovered he was almost 18yrs old and a very valueable mechanic , while under age review , his guts and winning grin got him into flight school,, MOSTLY , because there was a heavy demand for replacement pilots and crewmembers to fly into Germany .. FfF---Berlian Airlift ,, he was a pilot ferrying in potatoes and other staples , while approaching BERLIN , he noticed the skinny school kids in the Playgrounds of the Parish schools Jumpng up and down Cheering, waving and saluting the Planes flying in to land . Every trip he Made thereafter He Would open the window and drop chocolate bars to the school yard ,, A fine gentle giant he was,, pancreatic cancer took him before age 40..
