I think you could takle this. Might take some time to get all the equipment you need. I my self would look for something in the 90hp range. Like a 4020 or a farmall 806 or somethin newer if money allows. I would prolly have a 12" disk and a 4 or 6 row corn planter. There a lot more pricey but if your never gona plant wheat then instead of havin a corn planter and a drill for beans you can get a 6 row planter with splitters to do both and only have one planter but they are a lot more expensive. For harvesting id see if I could work somethin out to have it custom harvested for a couple years till you can get your own harvester. I still wouldnt buy a truck if you dont have to. License and insurance for a truck your not hardly gonna use would cut into your profit. As far as seed/chemical/fertilizer costs you can talk to your local co-op or seed/fert company and get prices.I farm 1600 acres and have figured my cost/acre for corn this year is gonna be around $400 dollars an acre. Thats seed/fuel/chemical/fertilizer/equipment expense.

The advice is timeless... so although it isn't necessarily antique tractor related, it will be prominently displayed in our archives to honor those who have the courage to ask and those who have the courage to respond in an honest, positive manner.
