The trouble with advice is sometimes the asker doesn't want it! Lots of questions ask on these pages are from folks who have very little knowledge on the subject. If they are attempting to learn - great, but if they only want someone to validate their bad idea they might get their feelings hurt. "Don't make something it's not" is an excellent answer to lots of questions! And poking fun - and that is just what it is - is a kind way of telling someone they are wrong.
