It's true. I read a article in a newspaper last week. They have a 50/50 joint venture which has not been named or even fully approved by regulations. There will be trucks named both International and Ford, about like Chevy and GMC trucks. They will be built in Escobedo,Mexico unfortunately. Well Navistar already provides Ford with the PowerStroke diesel. No wonder IH farmers buy them, there sort-of IH! The article also said that Ford sold it's heavy-duty truck business to Freightliner, a subsidary of Daimler-Chrysler AG. Looks like a Dodge-Mercedes-Freightliner-Navistar-Ford to me! Confused? I am. Navistar is cutting 1,100 jobs because of lack of new truck sales. All of these mergers get confusing and complicated.
