farmall A radiator fan leaks oil

Can anything be done about a fan that leaks oil? IH dealer says it does not have a seal, I tried putting a rubber washer on but it still leaks, tried 90 weight gear oil in it instead or 30 weight and it still leaks. Wonder if I could pack it with wheel bearing grease? What do you think or should I just buy a new reproduction fan assembly.
