I need to replace the seal in the upper part of the bolster. Not wanting to take it off the tractor, can I take the lower portion off and just drop the shaft down? I know it is heavy, and I took the top nut off and was going to try to start it out but it won't budge. I am not really keen on the idea of smacking that shaft with a sledge cause I know it will egg shape it. I know this wasn't explained very well, but those of you with experience on these know what I am trying to do and I would much appreciate some help. Got about 3 acres of yard to mow now...will check back later. THANKS!
