Ace, You are right about coasting and the damage that it can cause to the TA when coasting on the low side and then going to the high side. This causes a hard shock to go through the TA assembly and these are some of the hard shocks that are the real TA killers. Another one is shutting off the engine in the high side and the engine diesels and rolls backwards. This locks up the whole TA assemby and brings everything to a hard stop. As far as the clutch coming through the cover, Is this the main clutch or the TA clutch? John In Iowa
